Ran is the goddess of water in norse mythology. She symbolises water, the healing abilities of feeling ones feelings, diving deep in to mystical realms and the power of women’s spirituality and sensuality. She symbolises the border less notion of water, spiral movement and regeneration. She has 9 daughters, but I think they symbolise an illusion, that they are really 9 versions of herself and her own energy, symbolising the versatility of a woman in all her moods and colours. She is part of my goddess series, inspired by ancient stone statues of goddesses found world wide.
